Roger Hardy discovered his passion the moment he realized that consumers were being ripped off on vision correction products such as contact lenses and glasses.
Working for a contact lens manufacturer, Hardy realized the mark ups on these products were ridiculous. Seeing first hand the way consumers were being taken advantage of by Opticians and Optometrists didn’t sit well with him.

This was the moment Hardy was inspired to create Coastal Contacts and set forth his mission to “Save the World from Overpriced Eyewear” A noble mission indeed!
Hardy knew he needed a medium to get the message out. The Internet provided that tool.He knew that it was one of the most powerful channels ever invented and would aid him in changing the way the world bought contact lenses. The revolution started with contact lenses, but according to Hardy, “This is only the beginning.”
Hardy is setting his sights on eyeglasses next, and aims to be a Billion dollar business by the year 2015. “Revolutionizing the eye care industry one element
at a time.”

With all of Hardys’ success, he has not forgotten his grass roots and in 2003, established the Hardy Endowment fund at Bishops University which will pay the tuition of a student “in need” each year in perpetuity.
